lieutenant Jerry Garcia

Lieutenant Jerry Garcia is a twenty-one year veteran of law enforcement and holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Jerry received a Basic Peace Officer Certificate from the University of Houston-Downtown.

Jerry began his law enforcement career at the Harris County Precinct Five Constable's Office. After serving in the Patrol Division for several years, Jerry entered the Harris County Precinct Five Civil Division where he became a highly respected leader. Jerry left Precinct Five to help lead the Civil Division at Harris County Precinct Two Constables Office. After three years at Precinct Two, Jerry was asked to lead the Civil Division at Harris County Pct. 3 Constable's Office. 

Jerry is a very thorough, diligent, fair and caring leader who leads by example.Jerry became a Field Training Officer and is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Instructor who loves to help other officers by passing on his knowledge gained through his dedicated, vast experience.

Aside from serving honorably for twenty one years, Jerry  has been an active community leader for over twenty two years. Jerry has served as a Little League baseball coach where he was selected to lead the All-Star Team for several years. Jerry has also served as Coach and continues to lead the Hurricanes FC which consistently finishes as one of the top teams in Texas. In 2017, Jerry was named South Texas Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year. Jerry has also served the community by helping the homeless, and by dedicating time to and serving our senior citizens. 

Jerry is a member of the Gulfway-Hobby Airport Rotary, a member of the Latino Peace Officer Association, a member of the Southbelt Chamber of Commerce and most proudly a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. 

Jerry is married with four children and one grandchild.
